Some folks want to know who it is they are hiring, not only just what jobs they can do. So in this blog, we will endeavour to tell you a little bit about ourselves.

Humble beginnings

We’d love to say we are descended from a long line of commercial service magnates with subsidiary companies all of the world. But that is not the case. We’re just some hardworking people who had a vision. Like many of our customers, we began as a start-up business. Our founders, Kevin Benjamin and Nathan Oxford, are both originally from the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. Kevin and Nathan worked mutually in servicing Commercial Industries. They noticed that many property managers had to contract out a multitude of jobs to a multitude of different companies. Seeing all the various invoices with which property managers to deal, and figuring that many of these services were quite similar in nature, Kevin and Nathan came up with an idea.

They came up with the concept of an all-in-one Commercial Servicing Company, one that would offer numerous services, from maintenance to landscaping to everything in between. They asserted that one company that could provide all of these services would be a far more convenient to property managers and this would make everything easier and more efficient for clients. And so was born “Scotia Commercial Services”, a company that lends its East Coast charm and hard work ethic to the customers it serves.

One of the clearest indicators of the quality of the services that a company provides is that company’s renewal rate. If many of a company’s clients wish to reup their contracts and continue to receive those services year after year, then that is a solid sign that those clients are satisfied. A new year offers many new things, and for us at Scotia Commercial Services, we are happy to announce the beginning of new service offerings.
